BBN steel is world-class supplier and exporter of ASTM A131 hull structure steel AH40 marine steel plate. According to ASTM A131/A131M standard, the max. thickness of AH40 marine steel plate is 4in. [100mm]. AH40 marine steel plate shall be made using a fine grain practice. The aluminum, vanadium, or columbium (niobium) may be used for grain refinement. We can supply AH40 marine steel plate with certificates of ABS, LR, BV, DNV GL, RINA, NK, CCS, KR, or RMRS as your requirements.

3) If the content of soluble aluminum is not less than 0.015 %, the minimum required silicon content does not apply.
4) The indicated amount of aluminum, columbium (niobium), and vanadium applies if any such element is used singly.
5) Ca element need not be reported on the mill sheet unless intentionally added.

ASTM A131 hull structure steel AH40 marine steel plate shall be normalized, control rolled, thermomechanical control processed, or quenched and tempered. We can do Z direction test: Z15, Z25, Z35 for AH40 marine steel plate. When AH40 marine steel plate exceeds 1/4 in. [6.4 mm] in thickness, the plate shall do Charpy V-notch test. The main applications of AH40 marine steel plate are to manufacture ships, fishing boats and offshore engineering structures in ocean, coastal and inland navigation areas.
