Hull structural material ASTM A131 grade E marine steel plate is ordinary strength shipbuilding steel, whose specified minimum yield point is 34 ksi [235 Mpa]. A131 grade E marine steel plate is to contain at least one of the grain refining elements in sufficient amount to meet the fine grain practice requirements. (see Section 7 of ASTM A131/A131 standard). For ASTM A131 grade E marine steel plate and so on hull structural steel materials, we provide EN 10204 3.2 MTC certified by ABS, LR, BV, DNV GL, RINA, NK, CCS, KR, RMRS or any other classification societies as the end user's requirements.

Notes:1) Where the content of acid soluble aluminum is not less than 0.015 %, the minimum required silicon content does not apply.

2) The contents of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and copper are to be determined and reported. When the amount does not exceed 0.02 %, these elements may be reported as≤0.02 % .

And Charpy V-notch test shall be made on A131 grade E marine steel plate over 1/4 in. [6.4mm] in thickness. A131 grade E marine steel plate is intended for ship construction, and can be used in the deep oceans and bear the below-zero temperature surroundings.
