High corrosion resistance DH40 ship plate is a kind of hot rolled high tensile strength steel. DH40 steel plate has yield strength of 56,500 psi (390 MPa), and ultimate tensile strength of 74,000 - 94,500 psi (510-650 MPa).
DH40 plate requires good low temperature toughness and good welding performance. It needs to be normalized by means of controlled rolling and controlled cooling or heat treatment processes with more complete equipment.
DH40 ship plate has excellent chemical and mechanical properties. That makes DH40 steel ideal for offshore platforms and shipbuilding projects.
